Prolific Academy: This UK Site Is Worth Your Time.

just starting to get my groove on with this site, Prolific Academy. it is UK based and pays in pounds so it can be a bit confounding initially. it is essentially academic researchers offerings paid research studies. the studies are interesting and more about human nature and decision making which are a welcome break front usual technology and shopping habits surveys i take all day long!

i usually wait for an email invite and i have discovered they do close rather quickly so don't wait hours to open up the study invite. so far i have only taken about 10 studies but they all have been approved and my score is 100/100. i really am not sure how points are deducted and what effect that has on the studies you receive. they do pay in paypal although they do charge a small service fee if you reside outside the UK.

you can also visit the site directly to view any open studies. i do appreciate that they list the avg. rate per hour, avg. completion time and slots available for every study.

and it is GLOBAL so anyone can register!

  3. Thanks we love it too! And no not much spare time at all. And when we do have it I feel guilty because I should be unpacking or organizing something.

    2. It's really hard with two kids, being sick, and we have sooooo much stuff. Oh and we went out of town too. We have to buy things to put our things in so I can only do so much at a time until we get some new pieces.

    3. i get it. here we also had 2 kids--drove dave crazy because i would not relax until every box was open and everything was nailed on the walls. took us 3 days but it was done! i did do all my shopping before hand, spent $10k at ikea and had the house professionally painted before we moved in so we were very ready. we bought our house in sept. but didnt move in until nov. are you selling your old place?

  4. That's nice that you had all that time. It's hard to do when Matt works so much. Thankfully we didn't have to paint since the house was just remodeled and we love the colors. I will eventually do some changes here or there like in the boys rooms. We also can only do some of the $ in little spirts because we spent so much on the house. We had one month to closing and was lucky to get our house packed up in that time. 16 people helped us move our stuff with 4 trucks, a cargo van, 2 28 foot box trailers and a few cars. LOTS OF STUFF. lol We are keeping it to rent it out for extra income. It's in a great area.
