Join Yahoo's Research Community!

i just received an invite to become a member of yahoo's research community. i don't have many details other than it said it involves user testing projects and participants are compensated with prepaid gift cards. it said we could share the screener link with friends and family too.

i filled out the screener and now will just sit back and wait to see if i qualify for anything. hopefully this will be something good!

here is the original invite i received:

Hello,

You’re receiving this email because you have completed a survey with us in the past showing your interest in participating in user studies with us. We invite you to join our newly launched Yahoo Research community. Once you’ve taken our initial survey, you will be added into our official Yahoo Research community database. Going forward, we will use this initial survey to match you to suitable Yahoo user studies as they occur. We’ll send you surveys for specific Yahoo user studies we believe you may qualify for using the email address you provide us with in the survey.

By joining the Yahoo Research community, you will help us improve Yahoo products, both present and future ones. If you participate in a user study with us, we’ll provide you with a gift card in appreciation of your time. The amount of the gift card is dependent on the length of the user study. Most of our user studies take place in-person at our California offices in Sunnyvale, and San Francisco; and our New York office. We also have remote, online user studies with users all over the world.

Join 'The Heartland' Online Community!

there is a new community forming and it's for people 'from the heartland'. take this screener and see if you are a good fit! i know they are especially looking for MEN!

they have not mentioned what incentives are available but it's at least worth joining to see if they are worthwhile--you can always unsubscribe if it turns out to be a dud!

they are run by vocalpoint, an off shoot of Ipsos. here is a description of this new online community:

We’re creating a new kind of map: not of cities and towns but of Heartland culture, pride, traditions, and love. We’ll have more to tell you soon – but first – tell us a little about yourself, and we'll be sure you get one of the first invitations to join our new community.
good luck everyone!

Receipt Pal: Earn Rewards In A Snap!

this app that pays you back is one of the easiest ones to use--trust me. receipt pal just wants you to snap a pic of your receipt---practically any receipt. i snap pics of grocery stores, gas stations, even dr. visits! you cannot take multi pics of a single receipt so that can be a bit of a problem for long receipts. just tape it on the floor, stand on a chair and take your best steady shot. you can even send them online receipts--just forward your email confirmations from purchases! they allow you to register 3 email addresses so all online receipts must be from one of the 3 registered emails.

Focus Groups Round 6!

time for yet another batch of focus groups. more and more people are jumping on the focus group bandwagon so it's important to sign up for as many groups as possible and have better odds of snagging a high paying study from possibly a lesser known site. i know it's a pain reentering your info over and over but scoring a few $100 studies makes it all worthwhile!

(for healthcare professionals and individuals in the medical field)

(requires webcam)

good luck to all!

and don't forget to also sign up with all the previous focus groups i have mentioned:

Find & Save: An Awesome New App That Earns You Money.

please enter code for my referral: QRGG
i will receive a bonus for referrals and would really appreciate the gesture. :)

oh my goodness i am liking this new app! find & save is truly offering up FREE MONEY just for shopping at their sponsored stores---no specific items to buy or scan--just take a pic of your receipt and hit send. i have made over $10 in less than 2 months because it's all places i shop anyways: target, walmart, mcdonalds, kohl's, cvs, the list goes on and on! the deals vary--some a flat amount, like 50 cents earned, and others are a percentage of your purchase. threshold for cashing out is $25 and pays through paypal. deals change daily too so always check the app after any shopping trip!

in just 4 wks i have already earned more than i do in 6 months time at my other shopping apps. definitely give it a try and see what you think!

Prolific Academy: This UK Site Is Worth Your Time.

just starting to get my groove on with this site, Prolific Academy. it is UK based and pays in pounds so it can be a bit confounding initially. it is essentially academic researchers offerings paid research studies. the studies are interesting and more about human nature and decision making which are a welcome break front usual technology and shopping habits surveys i take all day long!

i usually wait for an email invite and i have discovered they do close rather quickly so don't wait hours to open up the study invite. so far i have only taken about 10 studies but they all have been approved and my score is 100/100. i really am not sure how points are deducted and what effect that has on the studies you receive. they do pay in paypal although they do charge a small service fee if you reside outside the UK.

you can also visit the site directly to view any open studies. i do appreciate that they list the avg. rate per hour, avg. completion time and slots available for every study.

and it is GLOBAL so anyone can register!

Target's Online Review Program is Looking for New Members!

ATTENTION! DO NOT FALL FOR THE TARGET 'MYSTERY SHOP' $200 SCAM EMAIL. THAT EMAIL IS A SCAM. THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT PAY ANY MONETARY INCENTIVE--IT ONLY GIVES YOU FREE MERCHANDISE IN EXCHANGE FOR YOUR REVIEW.

focus pointe global has a division called STARS that involves having registrants receive products sold at Target in exchange for an honest review at target.com. so far i have only been accepted for two product trials: one was a nice youth bedding set and the other was uniform pants. of course i got to keep the products and writing the reviews took only about 30 minutes total. also know that there is no monetary compensation--the incentive is the merchandise.

here is one of my actual reviews:

Survey.com: Earn Money Doing Store Audits and Merchandising.

here is a nifty little app that i use to make some extra money.  i was lucky enough to score a gig through them for whole foods that lasted for several months and involved me simply attaching coupons to certain products on the shelves. each job only took me 10 minutes and paid $12. i made nearly $200 for the duration of the project and it was super easy. payment was through paypal.

here is the link: https://survey.com

they also often have walmart merchandising jobs where you actually go in and re-merchandise or change out signage for certain products. for some reason it is never any walmarts near me so i haven't tried one of those jobs yet.

it is actually two different apps. one app, survey.com, is available for both apple and android, and is more survey based. screeners for bigger projects will show up here as well. if selected, you then download their second app, survey-merchandiser. please note, DO NOT download the survey-merchandiser app unless you have been approved to do so. from their site:
"Only download this application if you have explicitly been instructed.
This application is for approved users only."

i think you have to prove your 'worthiness' on the first app before they offer you the good stuff. that being said, i do not do the surveys that only offer a sweeps entry, which are the majority of them and i don't feel that has hurt me.

good luck and and may the surveys be with you :)

JOIN GUYS THAT GROOM!
GuysThatGroom is the only panel in America where REAL men give REAL opinions on REAL grooming products -- and get rewarded for it!

the Pink Panel has rolled out a new product testing for MEN called Guys That Groom. i love the pink panel--i have been able to test a few products from them and you get to keep the product PLUS they usually throw in an amazon gc. if you are a guy or if you want to sign up your significant other---here is the link: guys that groom

i also highly recommend liking their fb page to easily locate all current studies.

The Surprising Amount I Earned Online In 2015.

another great online earning year! i keep good records of all my online earnings and for 2015 i made a grand total of:

$15,339.19

that's $1,278.27 a month

or $42.61 a day

to further break it down:

71% cash/check/paypal:
$10,841.24

29% giftcards(usually walmart or amazon):
$4,497.95.

granted, this is nothing compared to when i was working full time but it is great income for a homemaker! back then i was paying $460 PER WEEK for childcare, working many nights and weekends and nearly every holiday. also add in the cost of gas, work clothes and meals. now i am making decent money and am always home for my family (but admittedly on my laptop a lot!)

i also looked up my top 15 earners for last year. now keep in mind, i belong to over 100 sites, which includes survey companies, research panels, mobile apps and online communities--some only earning me $20 over the course of a year and others earning nearly $1000. the higher paying focus groups and online communities came about through invites through my regular survey taking sites or filling out an endless amount of screeners. here are my top survey site earners for the year:
